About Let Her Live

Let Her Live is a South Carolina nonprofit corporation dedicated to saving babies by turning the hearts of mothers toward their children. We believe God requires us to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8). As we attempt to love our neighbors as ourselves, we feel compelled to attempt to deliver the innocents who are being drawn unto death. We believe that in order to worship God in a pure way we must not only avoid the stains of sin and the world, but also aid the fatherless and widows in their affliction (James 1:27). We believe, as Christians have from the time of the early Church until now, that this mandate includes unborn children.

We place billboard advertisements, distribute literature, give educational presentations, and maintain this website to accomplish these goals:

deliver the message that all human life has beauty and value.
expose the physical, emotional, and spiritual risks and consequences of abortion.
highlight alternative choices to abortion, including abstinence, adoption, and parenting.
refer women considering abortion to counseling and other forms of aid, such as temporary housing.
refer women who have had abortions to counseling services to begin the healing process.

Based in Greenville, SC, Let Her Live is beginning its efforts in the southeastern United States, with plans to expand its outreach nationwide. We are targeting our advertisements and educational campaigns to areas with a high number of abortions, and, where practical, as close as possible to leading abortion clinics.

Why did we choose the name, "Let Her Live"? The abortion industry consistently denies that a preborn baby is a person. They talk about a baby as "it." They deny that "it" is a baby, calling it a "blob of tissue," "blood clot," or "product of pregnancy." We emphasize the personhood of the unborn baby, by reminding people that every baby is a male or female human, not just a thing. For this reason we wanted to include "him" or "her," rather than "it" or "them," in our name.

In many parts of the world, baby girls have been, and still are, the primary victims of abortion, infanticide, and abandonment. When sex-selective abortions are practiced, girls are usually the victims. So we picked "her," instead of "him." We believe that every boy and girl is equally valuable and deserves protection before and after birth.

Let Her Live was founded in 2006, and we are tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. You may request a copy of our application for tax exemption by email. If you would like to help us, please consider giving a tax deductible donation today.
